Technical Training Building (TTB)

 

The Technical Training Building at Hartnell’s East Alisal Center Campus achieved USGBC LEED Silver green-building certification.  It’s 16,500 SF houses the Construction Technology and Automotive / Diesel Technology Departments. This facility incorporates a contemporary educational model of hands-on learning labs with module-based instruction in both Automotive Technology as well as Construction Technology.  The facility includes flexible instructional space and actual industry-standard Automotive and Diesel bays where full-size vehicles and farm equipment are repaired in a controlled and safe instructional environment. Sustainable approaches included ample day lighting throughout, high-efficiency HVAC and lighting systems, photo-voltaic solar panels, as well as durable, tilt-up concrete construction.

FCS managed the programming, design management, bid process, construction management, Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings and LEED certification of this 16,500 SF building.
